Superset launches an IDE for parallel AI agents, built on Vercel

Superset has introduced what it calls the first IDE for managing several AI coding agents at once in the cloud. On Vercel infrastructure, the platform handles up to 600 preview deployments a day and can run 10 agents simultaneously. Each agent gets an isolated environment and a live URL for testing its changes. It is a tool built not for a single developer, but for managing an entire fleet of AI assistants.

Development with AI agents has moved from a single engineer talking to a single agent to teams of developers directing fleets of agents in the cloud. But existing tools have been left behind: they are designed for one developer and one ticket.

What Superset is

Superset is an IDE for developing with several AI agents at once. Its founders, Kiet Ho, Satya Patel and Avi Peltz (all former CTOs at YC startups), built a tool that lets developers direct a team of up to 10 coding agents, each in its own isolated environment. The agents work in parallel, generating code across several branches at once.

This changes the nature of the work: instead of waiting for one process to finish, the developer coordinates the actions of many agents simultaneously.

On Vercel, Superset handles about 600 preview deployments a day and keeps weekly growth in active users at 57–64%. The average build time is around 30 seconds, and the whole stack handles 1,000–1,400 deployments a week.

"Parallelism is only felt in the product because nothing on the platform makes work wait.

If even one layer slows down, the parallelism on top of it collapses," says Kiet Ho, co-founder of Superset.

Parallelism requires parallel infrastructure

Parallel agent work is hidden beneath the surface of the product, but it demands complex infrastructure. Each agent thread needs an isolated environment, each branch needs a live URL, and each change must run in a safe space. That is what sets Superset apart from traditional IDEs: it does not merely manage several agents, it gives them fully independent environments.

Without instant provisioning, parallelism disappears. If CI configuration has to be set up by hand for each branch, if preview environments are managed manually, if deployments sit in a queue, then 10 parallel agents turn into a single queue, and a task that should take minutes takes hours. The developer is waiting again, and that is the problem Superset was built to solve.

  • Instant environment provisioning for each agent
  • Automatic live URL for every branch
  • Safe testing of changes before merge
  • No deployment queues

Built on Vercel

All three founders previously worked at Vercel, so the platform was the obvious choice from the start. Superset runs on six Next.js projects: the web app, marketing, documentation and three supporting services. The team skipped platform engineering entirely and focused on the product.

Every branch created by a developer or an agent automatically becomes a preview deployment, often with several services at once. On peak days that comes to ~600 deployments a day. There are no build queues, and each branch gets a live URL instantly. By comparison, traditional platforms require manual environment management for each branch.

Superset uses the whole Vercel stack: the AI SDK to orchestrate multi-agent workflows, AI Gateway to route models without custom logic, Vercel Blob to store artifacts without managing separate storage, and Fluid Compute to scale parallel tasks. There is no second cloud, no external orchestration and no separate platform team.

What this means

When infrastructure fades into the background, developers can manage entire fleets of AI agents as everyday tools rather than experimental prototypes. For teams that want to scale development with AI, this changes the equation: instead of hiring more engineers, they can point more agents at the same task and get the result in parallel.
