Editorial Policy

Hamidun News is a curated AI & technology news service. This document sets out what we publish, how we verify sources, where AI is used and how we correct mistakes. Last updated: July 2026.

01

What we publish

  • We monitor 42+ primary sources — company blogs (OpenAI, Google, Anthropic, NVIDIA), research outlets (MIT Technology Review), and major tech media (The Verge, Habr, MarkTechPost) — every 30 minutes.
  • We select the stories that matter and publish concise rewrites in six languages: Russian, English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Arabic.
  • Technical pipeline details live on the How we work page; editorial standards on the Standards page.
02

Sourcing standard

  • Every article links to its primary source — via a prominent link in the text and via structured data.
  • We do not publish stories we cannot trace to an identifiable original.
  • Where a claim contains numbers (funding, benchmarks, user counts), we keep the figures exactly as stated by the source and attribute them.
03

How AI is used — and where humans decide

  • We use AI (Claude models) for two tasks: filtering the incoming stream for relevance and quality, and drafting rewrites and translations.
  • Editorial responsibility stays human: the pipeline, source list, selection criteria and published output are owned and reviewed by the editor, Zhemal Khamidun.
  • AI-assisted translation into en/es/pt/fr/ar is machine translation and is disclosed on the About page.
  • AI is never used to fabricate quotes, sources or facts.
04

Independence

  • Hamidun News is independently owned and operated — see ownership and funding on the About page.
  • Sources do not pay for coverage.
  • We do not publish sponsored articles; if that ever changes, sponsored material will be clearly labeled.
05

Corrections

  • Factual errors are corrected in the article itself; materially significant corrections carry a dated correction note at the top of the article.
  • The dateModified field in our metadata always reflects the last substantive edit.
  • To request a correction, email [email protected] with the article URL and the issue. We aim to respond within 48 hours.
  • The corrections log lives on the Corrections page.
06

Takedowns and source complaints

  • Rights holders and cited sources can reach us at [email protected].
  • We attribute, link and quote within fair-use bounds; we will review any complaint promptly.
