CEO of digital agency bijobs.ru conducted an experiment: instead of hiring a designer and developer, he assembled a full-featured speaker portfolio website in two weekends using Claude Code.

The Problem Without a Personal Page

Bogdan Nepryakhin from bijobs.ru regularly speaks at conferences on Yandex Direct, VK Ads, and data work. Organizers routinely ask: "Send us your speaker page." And there was an awkward pause — there was no page. This is not a rare situation. Many experts and speakers find themselves in a similar position: they have a presence in the professional community, but their digital portfolio is either nonexistent or hopelessly outdated.

The standard market solution is expensive: designer — 15–40 thousand rubles and 1–2 weeks of work, developer — another 15–30 thousand and a week of deadlines. Total: up to 100 thousand rubles and a month of waiting for a single page that ten organizers will see.

Claude Code as a Replacement for Developers

Claude Code is an AI assistant from Anthropic, built into the developer terminal. It writes code, runs it, fixes errors, and iterates based on natural language instructions. You don't need a technical background to use it — you just need to be able to describe tasks in words.

The work was built on the principle of live dialogue. Nepryakhin explained what he wanted to see, Claude Code offered code — and he could immediately open the file in a browser and assess the result. The "write — check — fix" cycle takes minutes, not days of negotiations.

The key difference from a freelancer is feedback speed. A freelancer responds in a few hours, requires a detailed brief, and might ask clarifications ten times over. Claude Code responds instantly, never gets tired, and doesn't go on vacation in the middle of the project.

Typical page development scenario:

  • You describe the structure: "a block with a photo, name, job title, three speech topics" — you get an HTML framework
  • You set the style: "minimalist design, dark background, blue accent" — the AI writes CSS
  • You upload photos and explain how to integrate them into the layout
  • You iterate fixes: "make the font larger," "remove the top margin," "add a video section"
  • You check mobile responsiveness and fix last-minute bugs

What Came Out in Two Days

The result — a working speaker portfolio website in clean HTML/CSS. No WordPress, no page builders, no unnecessary dependencies. The page includes a biography, list of speaking topics, photo gallery from conferences, embedded video recordings, and a contact form.

"Total: a month and 30–100 thousand for a single page.

For a page that ten organizers will see," explains Nepryakhin, describing the logic that made him look for an alternative.

Development time — two days. Budget — the cost of a Claude Code subscription plus a domain.

Against a month of waiting and five figures at market rates.

An important note: Nepryakhin is not a developer. This is not a story about "a programmer saved money on a freelancer," but about how someone without web development skills got a finished product by managing AI as a task setter.

What It Means

AI assistants already work as a practical replacement for contractors where the task is small and clearly defined. In essence, Claude Code in such a case is a junior developer on permanent staff: infinitely patient, always available, and doesn't bill for revisions.

For complex branding, corporate websites with dozens of pages, or unique animations, the tool doesn't yet replace a designer. But for speakers, consultants, and small businesses, the barrier to entry into web development has dropped sharply. This is not a conversation about the future — it's already a working case.
