Hightouch hits $100M ARR with AI agents for marketers

Hightouch has reached $100M ARR, adding $70M in annual revenue over 20 months. The growth driver is its AI agents for marketers, which automate audience segmentation, personalization and campaign launches. The startup has gone from a niche reverse ETL tool to a full AI platform for marketing.

Hightouch has announced it has reached $100M ARR, with $70M of that added in just 20 months. The catalyst was the launch of its AI agents platform for marketers, a product that changed the company's positioning and opened a much larger market.

Hightouch was originally built as a reverse ETL tool: technology that lets companies activate data from analytical warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks) and push it into CRMs, ad platforms and marketing tools. It is a technically demanding task that large companies used to handle with engineering teams or expensive integrations.

But reverse ETL is a market with a ceiling. Hightouch had to compete with Census and other specialized tools, and its audience was limited to data engineers and technical teams.

The launch of AI agents for marketers changed the equation. The new product is positioned as an AI platform for marketing: agents take over audience segmentation, message personalization and automated campaign launches. A marketer describes the task in natural language, for example, run retargeting for users who added an item to their cart but did not buy within the last 7 days, and the agent builds the segment, picks the channels and launches the campaign on its own.

This fundamentally changes the target audience. Instead of a data engineer, the buyer is a chief marketing officer or a growth manager. Instead of one technical user per company, there are dozens of marketers. This broader point of contact explains the $70M ARR growth in 20 months.

The $100M ARR figure matters for several reasons. First, it is the traditional threshold after which a startup can credibly consider an IPO or raising growth rounds at high multiples. Second, ARR of this size combined with high net revenue retention points to a durable business model rather than one-off spikes.

Notably, this growth comes amid stagnation in the SaaS sector. Many companies working with marketing data are under pressure from shrinking MarTech budgets. Hightouch managed to break out of that trend: interest in AI tools for marketing jumped in 2024-2025, and the company was in the right place with a ready product.

In the market for AI marketing agents, Salesforce with Agentforce, Adobe with AI agents in Experience Cloud and dozens of startups are all active at once. Still, Hightouch has a meaningful advantage: deep integration with analytical data warehouses. Its agents work directly on corporate data rather than on aggregated metrics, which improves personalization accuracy and reduces the delay between analytics and action.

For the AI market, Hightouch's story is another confirmation of the thesis that applied AI tools for business grow faster than infrastructure. The company that sells an abstract AI platform does not get paid first; the one that solves a specific problem for a marketer or growth manager does. Growing from $30M to $100M ARR in 20 months puts Hightouch among the fastest-growing B2B SaaS companies of recent years.
