The technical specs impress even skeptics. The system supports intelligent processing of more than 20 types of statistical charts and tables commonly used in clinical trials. Data extraction accuracy is a record 95%. That figure is critical, because manually transferring data from laboratory logs into the final report has always been the main source of errors. Medical SmartReport can also generate more than 30 types of ICH-compliant documents, with text-writing accuracy of up to 90%.

Why does this matter right now? The pharmaceutical industry is booming, yet time-to-market for new drugs remains extremely slow, precisely because of regulatory barriers. Automating report writing can cut the documentation cycle several times over. While Western counterparts such as Microsoft 365 Copilot try to be universal assistants for everyone, Chinese developers are betting on deep vertical integration into specific industries. It is the right strategy: a doctor does not need an AI that can write poetry, but one that understands the difference between clinical trial phases.

Building such tools into the WPS 365 ecosystem shows how the role of office software is changing. It is no longer just a blank sheet of paper; it is becoming an expert system. For Kingsoft Office, it is also a strong move in its competition with Microsoft in the Asian market. By offering highly specialized solutions for medicine, the company is building an ecosystem that large corporations will find nearly impossible to leave.
