Australian digital content designer Jody Hinane won an award at the Omni International AI Film Festival with a fully AI-generated short documentary "Guardians of the Burrow" — the film festival's jury was chaired by director Alex Proyas.

What the Film Is About

The scene of the film takes place in a dimly lit underground burrow, where a giant Amazonian tarantula and a tiny dotted humming frog end up in the frame simultaneously: an unusual pair captured in minute detail. In fact, there was no actual filming — the entire film, according to Hinane, was completely generated by artificial intelligence, although, as the creator herself claims, it "looks and feels" like the real thing.
