Walmart ends rival sale — up to 50% off TVs, laptops and Apple devices

Walmart is wrapping up its massive summer sale on Sunday evening. Before the sale closes, shoppers can save up to 50% on 4K Smart TVs, laptops, Apple devices and dozens of other electronics categories.

What's Included in the Discounts

The sale covered a wide range of consumer electronics. The retailer traditionally places maximum discounts on high-ticket items — televisions and laptops — to drive traffic and stimulate related purchases.

• 4K Smart TVs — Samsung, LG, TCL and Hisense with discounts of 40–50%. In this category you can find 55-inch models for under $300.
• Laptops — Windows devices from Dell, HP, Lenovo and Acer, from budget models at $199 to high-performance configurations with 30–40% discounts.
• Apple Devices — iPads of various generations, MacBook Air, AirPods headphones and accessories at prices below official recommended retail price.
• Smart Home — smart speakers, video doorbells, Wi-Fi 6/7 routers and smart lighting systems.
• Gaming Devices — consoles, gaming laptops, controllers and accessories.

Apple rarely participates in large discount campaigns directly; however, authorized retailers — including Walmart — occasionally reduce prices below MSRP, especially on previous generation devices.

Walmart vs Amazon

For several years, Walmart has synchronized its major sale with Amazon Prime Day. This is a direct strategy to fight for customer traffic during one of the most active shopping periods of the year in the US. The key structural difference: Amazon limits access to the best discounts to Prime subscribers ($139 per year), while Walmart's sale is open to all shoppers without any conditions or registration.

Walmart's press office noted.

According to Adobe Analytics estimates, in 2025 the combined online sales of Amazon's competitors during Prime Day exceeded $7 billion — a figure comparable to Amazon's own numbers. Prime Day has de facto become an industry-wide summer event for all retail.

How Much Time is Left

Walmart's sale officially ends Sunday evening Eastern time. After it closes, most items will return to standard prices. Some offers on remaining inventory may persist for another day or two, but this is not guaranteed. The next comparable electronics discount period is Black Friday in November. Until then, major sales of comparable scale are typically not available from major retailers.

The competition between Amazon and Walmart has turned Prime Day into an industry-wide event with benefits for shoppers: discounts become deeper, and access to them doesn't require a paid subscription. If you've been eyeing a new TV or laptop — Sunday evening could be a lucky moment.
