Anthropic has launched Claude for Small Business—a package of connectors and ready-made workflows that embed Claude into the tools small businesses rely on: QuickBooks, PayPal, HubSpot, Canva, and others.

Small businesses generate 44% of U.S. GDP and employ nearly half of the private sector. However, AI adoption in this segment significantly lags behind large corporations. The reason is simple: tools and training are rarely adapted to the actual workflows of small businesses, and AI usage often remains confined to a chat window. Anthropic committed to helping entrepreneurs use AI more fully and effectively for their critical tasks by embedding it into the everyday tools they already use.

How It Works

Claude for Small Business connects to the tools that owners already use: Intuit QuickBooks, PayPal, HubSpot, Canva, DocuSign, Google Workspace, and Microsoft 365. Once connected through Claude Cowork, Claude can work with financial operations, sales, and marketing.

For example:

• Payroll planning: reconciling cash position in QuickBooks with incoming payments from PayPal, building a 30-day forecast, prioritizing overdue invoices
• Month-end closing: reconciling accounts with payment data, automatically generating P&L statements, and preparing documentation packages for accountants
• Business analytics: all key metrics on one dashboard—cash position, sales trends, pipeline movement, and upcoming obligations
• Marketing campaigns: analyzing performance in HubSpot, developing strategy, and generating assets in Canva

The package also includes functions for pursuing overdue invoices, margin analysis, tax season preparation, contract review, and lead sorting.

Claude for Small Business is built on 15 pre-built agentic workflows and 15 skills for typical tasks that owners identified as the most time-consuming and energy-draining. The owner enables Claude for Small Business, connects the necessary tools, and selects a task. Claude does the work; the user approves the result before sending, publishing, or processing a payment. The key difference: it requires no prompt writing. Owners simply choose what work to perform, and Claude handles the rest.
