Google introduced Gemini Intelligence — a new suite of artificial intelligence features for Android smartphones. On the most powerful devices, AI will be able to automate tasks: controlling applications, generating interface elements, and filling out forms. This is the next evolutionary step of Gemini on mobile platforms.

What Gemini Intelligence Can Do

Gemini Intelligence works on the principle of a browser agent — it sees the smartphone screen and can interact with it like a human. The AI recognizes interface elements, clicks on buttons, text fields, and other application components. During the presentation, Google demonstrated how the agent handles tasks in real time. The main capabilities of the suite include managing multiple applications, filling out forms and entering data, generating user interface elements, automating repetitive operations, and recognizing the context of user tasks.

  • Control multiple applications simultaneously
  • Fill out forms and enter data in applications
  • Generate user interface elements
  • Automate repetitive mobile tasks
  • Recognize context and user intentions

On Which Devices Does It Work

Gemini Intelligence requires significant computing resources, so it is available only on flagship smartphones with powerful processors. Google did not disclose the complete list of supported models, but it is expected that these will be the latest generations of Pixel, Samsung Galaxy S25, and other premium devices. The feature will launch shortly and will be integrated into Gemini on Android. A subscription to Gemini Advanced will be required to use it. Google plans a gradual rollout, starting in selected regions.

Competition is Intensifying

The search for browser and mobile agents has become a field where major players are competing. OpenAI recently introduced Operator — an agent for ChatGPT that works in the browser and performs tasks on behalf of the user. Google with Gemini Intelligence offers a mobile counterpart, and this is a logical expansion of its AI platform to smartphones.

"We are bringing AI directly into users' devices, making the assistant

more integrated and useful in everyday life."

What This Means

Browser and mobile AI agents are moving out of laboratories into mass-market products. For users, this means the ability to delegate routine tasks to their smartphone. For application developers, new challenges in ensuring compatibility with AI agents.
