Meta has brought back Creator Studio—the Facebook page manager that was shut down in 2023. The service has been completely reimagined: it's now a standalone mobile app centered around an AI assistant for content creators.

What the AI Creator Assistant Can Do

The main innovation is the AI Creator Assistant, an embedded chatbot. Authors can ask it questions about statistics, request growth strategy advice, or clarify which content resonates with their audience. The assistant processes account data and responds in conversational mode, tailoring recommendations to each specific profile. According to Meta, the assistant can:

  • analyze publication statistics and identify key trends
  • provide personalized recommendations to boost engagement
  • identify the most significant comments from the audience
  • instantly compose replies to comments "in the author's voice"
  • show which specific steps will help grow on Facebook

The automatic reply feature in the author's style is perhaps the most controversial. Essentially, Meta is proposing that authors delegate live audience interactions to an algorithm. This saves time, but blurs the line between genuine dialogue and automated content: subscribers may not know that the replies aren't from the author themselves.

History: From Shutdown to Relaunch

The original Creator Studio appeared in 2019 as a browser tool for managing Facebook and Instagram pages. It was popular with creators: convenient post scheduling, analytics, monetization management, and messaging—all in one place. In 2023, Meta shut it down, redirecting users to Meta Business Suite—a product originally designed for corporate marketers, not independent creators. The new app addresses this mismatch. Creator Studio is once again focused on creators, but now in mobile format with AI at its core. The relaunch fits into the company's broader strategy: over the past eighteen months, Meta has been systematically introducing AI features into Instagram, WhatsApp, the ads manager, and the news feed.

"We want to show creators exactly what needs to be done to grow on Facebook,"

Meta said in its official announcement.

When It Will Be Available

The app is not yet widely available. Meta is testing it with a limited user base, and no full launch date has been announced. Following the company's typical rollout pattern, the release will begin in the US and gradually expand to other regions. There has been no information yet about Russian language support for the AI Creator Assistant. In parallel, Meta is expanding AI translations on Facebook—a feature that allows creators to reach international audiences without manual translation. In the future, both tools could well become part of a unified ecosystem for international content creators.

What This Means

AI content management tools are transforming from supplementary features into the central offering of platforms. Meta is betting that creators will trust algorithms in key decisions: what to publish, how to respond to audiences, who to engage with. For content creators, this means time savings and reduced routine work. For the platform, it means deeper influence over how communities are built within Facebook. The open question: how compatible is this model with authenticity, which remains the primary asset of any creator?

*Meta is recognized as an extremist organization and is banned in the Russian Federation.
