Hexo Labs open-sourced SIA — an agent that improves itself. The system analyzes its own errors and can either rewrite its work instructions or update the weights of its gpt-oss-120b neural network model. Tests showed that when the agent performs both operations simultaneously, results are significantly better. This was validated on legal benchmarks, GPU optimization, and biological data analysis.
